Donna M. Holum

Donna M. Holum, age 92, resident of Grand Forks, ND, died Friday, August 13, 2021 at her home in Grand Forks.

Donna Mae Holm was born December 9, 1928 in Triumph Township of Ramsey County, near Edmore, ND, the daughter of Elling Holm Sr. and Alma Sander.  She was raised and attended school in the area, graduating from Edmore High School in 1947.  Donna married Dennis Holum on October 25, 1948.  She was employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Grand Forks, and retired after 28 years of service.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking.

Donna is survived by 5 children, Rick Holum & his wife, Jan of Grand Forks, Julie Prew & her husband, Ray of Cheyenne, WY, Jill (Gregoire) Rositano & her husband, Bob of Maricopa, AZ, Tim Holum of Grand Forks, and Kathy Braaten & her husband, Jerry of Grand Forks; her sister, Fern Arneson of Edmore, ND; 20 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; 3 brothers; 5 sisters; a granddaughter, Heidi; and many nieces & nephews.

The Memorial Service for Donna will be held at Concordia Lutheran Church, Edmore, ND, on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will be at St. Ansgar Cemetery, rural Edmore.  Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
