Earl Selmer Johnson

Earl Selmer Johnson, 100, passed away on June 3, 2025 at Valley Senior Living, Woodside Village, Grand Forks, ND.

Earl was born on March 4, 1925 to John and Anna (Asbjornson) Johnson, at Dahlen, ND. He grew up and attended school in Whitman, ND and Devils Lake, ND where he also worked for area farmers. Earl was a mechanic and worked on various farm equipment and vehicles. From 1950 – 1981, he owned and operated Johnson’s Service garage in Whitman. After retiring in 1982, Earl worked for Sandfords farm.

Earl is survived by 2 nieces, Patricia (Roger) Bonnes, and Cindy (Roscoe) Reynolds, both of Helena, MT.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clarence; and nephew, Ron.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at West Forest Cemetery, rural Whitman.
