Erma Lindvall

Erma (Goter) Lindvall passed away peacefully March 31, 2021 at the Nelson County Health Care Center in McVille, ND.

Erma was born April 20, 1925 near Woodworth, ND in Conklin Township to Ernst and Elsie (Reiman) Goter. She attended country school for her early years and later Woodworth High School. She graduated from Chicago School of Nursing with a degree in Practical Nursing in March 1948.

Erma married Oscar Lindvall Nov. 1, 1952 in Omaha, NE. They had one daughter, Marcia. Erma and Oscar made their home on a farm near McVille. They later moved into McVille. Oscar passed away in Nov. 1981. Erma spent the last three years in the Nelson County Care Center.

Erma worked a number of years in the McVille Hospital, was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a member of McVille Lutheran where she taught Sunday School and served on the Ladies Aid. She served 22 years for the McVille Community Ambulance.

Erma is survived by her daughter, Marcia Norman; grandsons Austen and Aaron; and one great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings; Esther Schuler, Walter Goter, Luella Mayer, Diana Ball, Siemen Goter and infant sister, Erlina.

A funeral service for family members will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 10 a.m. at McVille Lutheran Church, McVille, ND. Interment will follow at Hamlin Cemetery, McVille, ND.
